CollexyLux buys selected original Pokémon cards, binders, lots, and entire collections. We do not buy based on a fixed price list. The decisive factors are the combination of the card's identity, condition, demand, variant, and how well the collection matches what we are currently looking for.
Vintage and older Pokémon cards
WOTC and other older collectible cards are a central focus. This includes Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, Gym series, Neo series, e-Reader, and EX-era.
Popular and in-demand singles
Strong individual cards with genuine collector interest are relevant, e.g., Charizard, Pikachu, Lugia, Rayquaza, Blastoise, Venusaur, and other popular Pokémon — when the specific edition and condition make sense.
Holos, promos, and special printings
Holo, Reverse Holo, Black Star Promos, 1st Edition, Shadowless, original ex-cards, and other documented special variants can be particularly interesting.
Binders, lots, and entire collections
You don't need to split a collection card by card. A binder, box, or larger collection can be relevant, especially when it contains a good mix of highlights and salable cards.
Set-fillers and complete sets
Cards don't have to be expensive individually to be interesting. Older set-fillers, complete or near-complete sets, and structured set-binders can be relevant for CollexyLux's focus on set completion.
Selected newer and graded cards
Newer chase cards, popular singles, and graded cards from e.g., PSA, CGC, or BGS can also be relevant when demand, price, condition, and marketability align.
Wear is not automatically a no. A sought-after vintage card can still be interesting in lower condition. Whitening, scratches, creases, and other wear affect the value, but a card doesn't need to be Near Mint to be relevant.
What do we typically prioritize less?
Clear boundaries save both you and us time. Some types may still be relevant as part of a larger collection, but they are usually not strong enough on their own.
Very low-value bulk without highlights
Large quantities of newer common cards without clear hits, set-fillers, or other demand are usually lower priority on their own.
Cards with unclear identity or insufficient images
We can start with a quick overview, but for valuable or unclear cards, we need to see enough to identify the edition, variant, and condition on a sound basis.
Fake, proxy, or fan-made cards
CollexyLux does not buy counterfeit, proxy, replica, custom, or other unofficial cards as original Pokémon TCG cards.
Merchandise without relevant cards
Plushies, figures, posters, and other Pokémon merchandise are not the focus of this buying scheme, unless they are a minor part of a relevant card collection.

How do we appraise your Pokémon cards?
There is rarely one correct price for a used Pokémon card. Two cards with the same Pokémon or name can have very different values because the set, collector number, edition, language, finish, and condition are not the same.
1. Precise identity We look at the card name, set, collector number, and the specific printing — not just the Pokémon's name.
2. Condition Front, back, corners, edges, and surface affect the value. In case of doubt, we assess conservatively.
3. Variant and language Holo, Reverse Holo, 1st Edition, Shadowless, promo, language, and other characteristics can significantly change the market.
4. Current market We use relevant current market references and comparable cards. A single price guide or asking price is not automatically the market value.
5. Demand and marketability A high asking price is not the same as a realistic selling price. We also consider demand, liquidity, and expected time to sale.
6. The collection as a whole For larger lots, we assess highlights, salable set-fillers, low-value cards, sorting work, and the portion of the collection that can realistically be resold.
Market value and a dealer purchase offer are not the same. If you sell the cards individually yourself, you may in some cases achieve a higher gross price, but you are also responsible for identification, photos, advertising, customer dialogue, fees, packaging, shipping, and the time until sale. A direct purchase offer from CollexyLux must therefore also include handling, inventory binding, and resale risk.
Which photos should you send of the Pokémon cards?
You don't need to photograph every card from the start. The goal is to give us enough information to see if the collection is relevant and which cards require closer inspection.
- One or more overview photos of the entire collection, binders, or boxes.
- Front photos of the cards you yourself believe are most interesting or valuable.
- Back photos of older, more expensive, or clearly worn cards, when possible.
- Approximate number of cards and known sets or eras, if you know them.
- Please state language, special variants, and whether the cards are generally well-preserved or worn.
- A price expectation is welcome but not necessary.
Share the photos as one link. Feel free to create a folder in Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive, or a similar service. Check that the link can be opened without the recipient first needing to request access.
Have you found an old Pokémon binder in the attic, inherited a collection, or do you not know what the cards are worth? That's perfectly fine. We don't expect you to be able to identify all printings or use the condition scale correctly yourself.

You can sell Pokémon cards yourself via marketplaces and private channels or contact a dealer. Independent sales can yield a higher gross price for individual cards but require more work with identification, photos, pricing, communication, payment, and shipping. CollexyLux is an option if you want a single point of contact and a direct sale, provided the cards fit our buying needs.
What are my Pokémon cards worth?
The value cannot be reliably assessed from the card's name alone. The precise set, collector number, printing, edition, language, finish, and condition can significantly change the value. Therefore, we start by correctly identifying the card and comparing it with relevant current market references.
Do you buy old Pokémon cards from 1999 and the 2000s?
Yes. Vintage and older Pokémon cards are an important focus area. WOTC cards from e.g., Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, Gym and Neo series, as well as e-Reader and EX-era cards can be interesting. However, the specific edition, condition, and demand determine whether we can buy the card.
Do you buy entire Pokémon collections, binders, and lots?

Yes, we can. A sought-after vintage card can still have genuine interest in lower condition. Wear, creases, whitening, scratches, and other damage affect the value and any offer, but lower condition is not automatically a rejection.
Do you buy Pokémon bulk?
Bulk alone is usually lower priority, especially if it primarily consists of newer common cards without highlights. Bulk can still be relevant as part of a stronger collection with vintage, holos, promos, set-fillers, or other salable cards.
Do I need to sort and price all the cards first?
No. For a larger collection, it's often better to start with overview photos and the most interesting pages or cards. If the material looks relevant, we can ask for more precise photos or information afterward. A complete price list is not necessary.
Is a Cardmarket price the same as the amount I can receive?
No. An asking price or market reference is not the same as a completed sale price or a dealer purchase offer. A direct purchase offer also takes into account condition, demand, time to sale, fees, handling, inventory binding, and risk.
Can you appraise Pokémon cards from pictures?
Yes. CollexyLux can make an initial appraisal of Pokémon cards and collections based on clear pictures. For more expensive, rare, or unclear cards, we may ask for better pictures or physical inspection before a final purchase offer is determined.
Do you buy fake, proxy, or custom Pokémon cards?
No. CollexyLux only buys original physical Pokémon TCG cards. We do not buy counterfeit, proxy, replica, fan-made, or custom Pokémon cards.
